  • The Gift of Mahabbah: Allah placed a special attraction on Musa (AS) so that anyone who saw him, even his enemies, felt a deep love for him. This is the ultimate “spiritual charisma.”

📖 Prophetic Guidance (Hadith) on Divine Love

While Surah Taha Ayat 39 highlights the gift of Mahabbah (love) bestowed upon Prophet Musa (AS), the Sunnah explains how Allah grants this same favor to His righteous servants.

  • The Proclamation of Love: The Prophet ﷺ said:”When Allah loves a slave, He calls Jibril and says: ‘I love so-and-so, so love him.’ Then Jibril loves him and calls out to the inhabitants of the heavens: ‘Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.’ Then the inhabitants of the heavens love him, and acceptance (Qabul) is established for him on earth.(Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
  • Protection through Remembrance: To complement the protection Musa (AS) received, the Prophet ﷺ taught us to seek safety under Allah’s “Eye” using this supplication:”O Allah, I seek refuge in Your perfect words from the evil of what He has created.” (Sunan Abi Dawud)

Scholarly References & Authority

To ensure the spiritual and academic integrity of this guide, we rely on primary Islamic sources and classical exegesis.

1. Classical Tafsir (Exegesis)
  • Tafsir al-Jalalayn: Scholars note that the phrase “Wa alqaytu ‘alayka maḥabbatam-minnī” implies a literal “casting” of a mantle of beauty and grace upon Musa (AS). It is recorded that even his enemies could not bear to harm him because his face radiated a divine light that commanded affection.
  • Tafsir Ibn Kathir: In the commentary of Surah Taha, Ibn Kathir emphasizes that “lituṣna‘a ‘alā ‘aynī” (that you may be brought up under My eye) signifies Al-Inayah al-Rabbaniyyah (Divine Providence), where Allah bypasses the “laws of nature” to protect His beloved.
2. Hadith Authenticity
  • Sunan Abi Dawud: References regarding the protection of children and seeking refuge from the “Evil Eye” (Al-Ayn) align with the theme of Musa (AS) being protected from the gaze of Pharaoh’s soldiers.
  • Musnad Ahmad: Authentic reports suggest that the “sweetness of character” found in believers is a direct result of the Mahabbah mentioned in the Quran.

💡 How to Use These References

When sharing this information, remember that Tawakkul (reliance on Allah) is the engine that makes any Wazifa effective. Scholars of the Salaf (pious predecessors) taught that the Quran is a “Shifa” (cure), but its effectiveness is tied to the sincerity of the heart.

The “Reflective Connection” Technique

The unique secret to this verse is Visualized Tawakkul. While reciting, visualize the baby Musa (AS) floating safely in the river. Realize that if Allah can protect a baby in a box from a tyrant King, He can surely protect you and mend your relationships.

Conclusion

Surah Taha Ayat 39 teaches us that love is a gift from Allah and safety comes from His gaze. Trust Him, and the hearts of others will follow.
